If you or a family member are suffering from chronic pain due to an illness or medical condition, chiropractic care can help. Dr. Kevin Hartung is our chiropractor at Family Chiropractic Center in Robinson Township and he wants to provide the pain relief that you deserve.

What is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic care is a natural and holistic method of helping the body heal on its own. Chiropractic care involves a combination of treatment methods that can help manage and often eliminate pain from various medical conditions.

The Conditions Chiropractic Care Can Help

We treat a variety of conditions at Family Chiropractic Center. Some of the most common conditions we treat include headaches and migraines, back issues, and neck pain. Many people suffer from headaches and migraines. Headaches are usually mild and only produce small amounts of pain. Migraines can be so painful that it is hard to work or perform basic daily activities.

Back and neck pain issues are by far the most common issue that we see at our clinic. Back issues can happen due to herniated discs, bad posture, fractures in the vertebra, and muscle sprains. Neck pain can be caused by bad posture, whiplash from being in an automobile accident, issues with ligaments, and muscle sprains in the neck area.

Chiropractic Techniques

We use different techniques to help with the treatment of the above conditions. The chiropractic techniques that we use are traditional and advanced, prenatal and pediatric care, auto accident injury care, and rehabilitative therapies.

Traditional chiropractic techniques involve manually adjusting the spine and neck with a hands-on approach. Once an adjustment is made and the spine and neck are aligned as they should be, the pressure is taken off of the muscles and other soft tissue, which brings pain relief to these areas.

Advanced chiropractic techniques involve special instruments and machines to better adjust specific areas of the body. These techniques include:

  • Drop table technique
  • Gonstead technique
  • Thompson technique
  • Diversified technique
  • Activator technique

Pregnancy causes major changes in a woman's body, which can cause pain and discomfort as the fetus grows. Special chiropractic techniques can be used to relieve pain, while also keeping the mother and baby safe. We also provide special treatments for children with back issues.
